Our Mission & values

Our core values

  • Safety - freedom to learn, play and be ourselves without fear.

  • Community - a sense of value and belonging because we are united through positive relationships

  • Kindness - using kind words, gentle actions and helping others feel safe and happy.

  • Respect - treating ourselves and others with kindness, care and fairness, and recognising that everyone matters and deserves to be valued.

Our Mission

Our mission is to ensure every child believes in themselves, is able to manage their feelings, and face life with confidence and kindness.

When our pupils leave us, we want them to be confident, resilient, hopeful and prepared.

We aspire for them to be

  • Self‑aware young people who believe in their own worth and can face the next stage of their lives with confidence and compassion.

  • Emotionally regulated, able to recognise their feelings, understand triggers and manage stress and challenges effectively.

  • Reflective learners who can learn from mistakes, repair relationships and approach difficulties with curiosity rather than shame.

We want our pupils to be kind, empathetic and respectful.

They should be

  • Able to communicate their needs clearly and listen to and support others.

  • Capable of building positive relationships, working collaboratively, and knowing when to be independent and when to seek help.

We want them to leave us ready for life beyond school with secure academic foundations.

This means they will have

  • Qualifications and meaningful awards that open future pathways.

  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills to function confidently in work, education and everyday life.

  • Developed practical life skills, including managing money, cooking, shopping and caring for a home.
